Fairy AI (the "Service") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the Service and how it is handled.

1. Information We Collect

Google account information: When you sign in, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture via Google OAuth.
Conversation content: Your chats with your fairy are used to generate AI responses and to build a long-term memory summary. The original text of a session is deleted immediately after it ends — only a compressed summary is retained.
Web page context: During conversation, the current page's title, main heading, and a snippet of any selected text are sent as context for the AI. This data is not stored on our servers.
Image URLs: When you use the image-recognition feature, the URL of that image is sent to our server. The original image itself is not stored.
Generated outfit images: When you gift your fairy an outfit using soul stones, the AI generates a new image of your fairy wearing that item and stores it as your fairy's "current outfit" so it persists across sessions. This is an AI-generated image, not the original image you uploaded.
Payment information: Soul stone subscription payments are processed through Creem (our international payment provider and Merchant of Record). Card details are never stored on our servers.

2. How We Use This Information

To provide the AI fairy service (conversation, image analysis, memory)
To operate the soul stone economy (balances, usage history)
To improve service quality and diagnose errors
To comply with applicable law and prevent abuse

3. Data Retention

Data is deleted immediately upon account deletion or a deletion request.
Information we are legally required to retain is kept for the applicable statutory period.
The raw text of a chat session is deleted immediately after it is summarized.

4. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following cases:

Google Gemini API: Conversation content is sent to generate AI responses. Google Privacy Policy
Google Cloud TTS: Dialogue text is sent for speech synthesis.
Creem: Minimal information (email, payment amount, etc.) is shared to process subscription payments, including international card processing and VAT/sales tax collection and remittance on our behalf. Creem Privacy Policy

5. Your Rights

You can stop using the Service at any time by signing out from the popup.
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information.

6. Security

We protect your information using Google Firebase authentication, data encryption, and HTTPS transport.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local to store your fairy's state and session tokens locally. This data lives only in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers (aside from authentication tokens). URLs, titles, and images you save via the "Scrapbook" feature are kept the same way — locally on this device only, never sent to our servers or synced across devices.

When your fairy speaks first (after you've stayed on a page for 5 minutes or more), it uses the same page title and headline information as a normal chat, is limited to 3 times a day, and can be turned off in the popup. The "pages we looked at together" reminder only keeps — locally on this device — the title of pages where you actually interacted with your fairy (chat, gifts) plus a one-line note of that interaction. We do not collect browsing history (dwell time or all visited URLs), and these page URLs are never sent to our servers. At the end of a session your fairy also writes a short "diary" entry about the day; the sentence is generated from the same conversation data already used for the memory summary, sent back to your browser, and stored only on this device — it is never kept on our servers.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
